hi all..

im very new to this forum so would love to take the chance to say hi to you all!

secondly, thanks to all those that posted how to install a head unit/console removal etc... it was very handy and have just finished putting in my pioneer DEH 5750. couple of jvc's at the back and its good enough to cruise in :)

i have a few questions i wouldnt mind fielding to all you knowledgable people:

- where can i source a spoiler for the verada ?
- is it tricky to install speakers into the dash? (door triming has no holes)
- my wheel has cruise control lever however it is not working. can anyone suggest some basic checks that i may do to see if in fact the car has cruise, or what the problem may be?
- the car is silver and pretty much standard. would love to tinker a little with it cosmeticlally. any suggestions that can be easily done?

thanks for the time

:D

asked the profesional and had a look at the wreckers i reckon you might be able to put some tweaters in the front but nothing really fantastic. i had my speakers put in the doors after removing the map holder things sound is ok but it needs some padding when the bass gets going also there are small holes from the map holder

after market or factory cruise ?

check your fuses, external fuse box and internal one...

when you turn cruise on, does cruise or something light up on your dash or the button? (i dont have a gen2, but in my gen1, when cruise is on, there is a light that lights up on the button)

if that aint turning on, then i guess the whole cruise control system aint getting power...

if it is, perhaps the acutator (the thing that lives under the bonnet that controls the throttle) might not be working, or might not be plugged in properly - check the plugs out

only other things i can think of to do with cruise is: neutral saftey switch is not right (but you'd have issues like selector saying drive and being in neutral - so i dont think it's this)... the cruise should cancel when you put it in neutral

brake switch - pressing the brakes cancels cruise as well. or if you got a manual, there is a clutch switch - to cancel cruise when the clutch is in. these could need adjusting or not working.

hope this helps

hi again

thanks for the tips..

i will go down to pick a part or something of that nature and see what i can find...

also the cruise is standard (i think)... and yes there is absolutely no lights or responce from the buttons on the controller.

i will check all the mains and see how i go.

cheers all
