what has the ralli art magna got compared to say a vrx that makes it faster? a different motor or more add-ons to make it go faster? if u get what i mean.

The ones I know of: Bigger cams, different ECU programming, better exhaust headers. Probably others.

cams, ecu tune, mild head work, headers, higher compression pistons

Different valve springs, also manuals got LSD.

but for some really odd reason.. there have been alot of threads that have been 'deleted'... i've tried that find a few things but ended up only to find a few threads when i knew that it had been talked about heaps.....

even a geniune ralliart in auto wont beat a Manual Sports...

you havent got a ralliart engine unless u went a got one put in after you got the car

Well mine does and chooky ain't no slouch.

"apparently" the engine and specs were intalled after purchase (by the original owner) so i spose i gonna have to wait til i put it dow the 1/4 or run it up on the dyno.

Well it is possible thats the case... If so, nice mate.. You are a lucky man...

Even if you do though, your not going to match or beat 14.8 with an auto, even if it is a Ralliart Engine in it .. Be my guest a prove me wrong though, im all for it...

Does your exhaust manifold look different to Chooky's? ie, does your car have the ralliart extractors on it? Check that out if u get time....

Maybe previous owner was talking a bit of crap to make a sale???? If so, what an a$$hole he was :doubt:

there's some conjuecture up here in newy about my VRX. Without stripping it all down and checking the engine out; so i dunno. it all looks std but is louder than the rest by fathoms, and peels off other vrx's/ sports.

Only a time slip or dyno chart will tell you for sure. :)

I'd say it's unlikely to have a genuine ralliart engine unless it was pulled out of a write off :doubt: . Although in theory it is entirly possible to 'ralliart spec' a standard 3.5L - probably at a fraction of the cost. About the only thing you would have a hard time getting in a non-genuine ralliart is the ralliart ecu tune.

Either way - congrats on having such a hot auto VRX!! Go the autos!!

yeh if it gets into the 14s, ill certainly be asking alot more questions and whatever else..

till then, its a stock standard auto vrx :D (which is still one very very nice, quick car, dont get me wrong)
