hey guys... just wondering, those with subs, do you have a problem with your rear view mirror rattling?

And if you do, how did you fix this?

I've got a 99 Sports, and it happens, but no idea how to fix it... any help?

Get out your trusty phillips head screwdriver and tighten the screw as tight as you can.

Ive never had a problem with it rattling. When my system is right up it vibrates a lot but that is all.

Yeh his is rattling because it's loose (mine did it). Just needs tightening. You cant stop it from vibrating though, cant defy natural law of physics :P.

Mine vibrates so much it becomes useless because the reflected image is almost a blur. But thats with the system on high volume. On max volume after a minute or so it ends up pointing at the back seat. Ive not found a fix for it because at normal (still loud) volume level it only shows whats behind me in "tripple vision" rather than complete blur so I cant be bothered to do anything about it unless it gets worse. lol

the mirrors were changed from TF-TH, and they rattle like a ***** now! (not sure about the actual noise in the TE-TF's but i know my TH sounds stupid!) i bought a new one ($40) but i don't know how to take off the original one, apparently its very common to break and crack the glass when doing it...

thanks for the reply guys, but my rear view mirror is stuck on the glass, not screwed into the roof, so there is nothing to tighten haha!

I was thinking of putting some brown bread on the back of the mirror or something... but didn't want to make a dogs dinner out of it if there is an easier fix..

I have a 98 an u have a 99 so im guessing the mirrors should be the same, mines doesnt screw in but it pushes in.

Mine came loose one day and i thought it was broken but i just pused it towards the back and it pushed back into place. hope that helps, my mirror is a blur but its never made any noise.

yer, mine is mounted on the glass to, and it works by sliding, and if its rattling and jumping about badly, it means its just slid down a little. just push it into the glass, and slide it up till it cant go up no more :)

My TF is mouted to the roof :)

No rattles at all... Just the usual vision blur, but meh...

yeh... my mirror isn't loose. Its just making a "zzzz zzzz zzz" noise when a bassy song comes on. I'm not trying to fix the blurry vision.. i'm trying to get rid of that noise!

thanks anyways guys.

Mine has the same problem. All you needs to do is put something soft and small and insulating in behind it to take away the movement. I used Blu Tac. SIMPLE:D
