Well after Jon, aka TheDifference asked for some audio help, I've been on the lookout for some 6" splits for him. Anyway I found some new Morel Hybrid Ovations 6" splits

Anyway long story short... I bought them... For myself :shock:
So I was thinking, ah its all good, i'll buy these and sell my previous Morel Hybrids and it wont cost me all that much... But on my journey home I decided I'd pop the Morels Hybrids in as rear fill.

I have no friggen money! And I have a few more goodies already lined up for the car next week. Dammit!

Anyway looks like I'll be dipping into some debt and possibly selling my kidney.

Should sound good though :)

I am.... What is currently in the front now... The Morel Hybrids are going into rear fill (most likely) and the Hybrid Ovations are going in as my mains.

Will sound pretty sweet anyway, at least I know they wont drag the quality down at all.

Are they the ones off Audi from CAA tim? if they are dammm i wanted to buy them but i didnt have what he was asking and he wasnt budgin on the price.

Nah didnt buy his ones, these are brand new :) still in plastic.

The ones he is selling are the Morel Hybrids. These are the older Hybrids that I am currently running for front stage. The ones I got are the Hybrid Ovations (A few models up and the current Hybrid line)

The Morel Hybrids have really small magnets and are really light. But they give surprising midbass and are clear as crystal. The new ovations have a huge magnet in comparison... Eagerly waits results, looks like I'll have to install them next week, but im expecting a big gain in midbass and overall headroom. Might need to give another layer of deadening on the doors... we'll have to see.

What price did you offer him for them? I wanted to buy the tweets off him from memory he wanted a bit too much for them and one had slight damage to the wires.

He didn't waste his money, just invested to the point of being indebt..We all have done it..

I want to see Photo's once you get them into the doors, before you put the door skin back on ..

Yeah I think they retail for almost $950 back in the day.

Mmm 6 way time alignment, 3 way active crossovers, parametric eq, optical out :drool:

Onto other news... Full MDF baffles are in. Haven't played around with any angling yet, but they fit perfectly and have gotten rid of that creaking midbass sound of the plastic flexing at high volumes. Will get pics u once Im happy with them.
