I was wondering is anybody knew the difference between the 3.8lt pajero and 3.5lt magna block is? Does it drop in? I'm wondering cause in the near is future I'm gonna start to build up a N/A engine and was wondering which one to get basically. I'm asking cause I've never seen one or anything.

Not sure about similarity but just wait for the new 380 to come out and use that engine cauase we already know its a worked 3.5LT no idea if that would be compatible with a 3.5 but u could always do a transplant.

My neighbor had a pajero and they looked like the same engine with a different intake plenum mainly because they run north south instead of east west, they are tuned different too so they make more torque for pulling power.
His was a 3ltr motor and had it bored to 3.5l, cost him 2grand to do.

He could wait, but hell be paying around 6+grand for the new engine and Im sure it will be a few months before we start seeing wrecks being sold cheaply at auctions. Heck the 380 isnt even out till October!

Somehow I think he wants to save a bit of cash.

Yeah 380 crate engine or wrecked car engine, very expensive, also pointless as the engine is gonna be pulled down and rebuilt anyway.

I reckon you'd be better off boring and stroking the 3.5 as is.

Im going with that idea too, it can be done and would yeild great results across the rev range, I am %99 sure that RPW was offering this as a mod.

Don't bother boring it, if you want strong torque from down low, just increase the stroke and compression.
