Hey.....last time I rotated the wheels I noticed I am critically low on brakes and Its noticible when I think I will stop on the line at traffic lights...but dont stop where anticipated....I know theres still pad left and the rotors are in good condition..

The thing Is.....I have no idea what kind of new pads to get....I want something pretty decent and all around would be willing to spend up to say...$300 (Incl Fitting) for all four corners....

I was thinking about just taking it down my local mechanic...but Im just worried he will put some dodgy **** on there....

THe other option is getting the pads myself and then fitting them (how hard is it....as in how much can go wrong if you follow the manual)

300 Is Good If They Fit Pads And Machine All Disc Rotors I Recomend That You Dont Do Them Yoursielf . If Something Does Go Worng And They Dont Stop You Might Mow Over A School Kid ..i Think The Frodo Pads Are Good Value Better Than Bendix At The Moment

EBC Green is the go. Or EBC Black if green is too pricey. Ask Anthony from Philcom for some prices.

Jax at Mittagong will use Bendex pads and charge you around $99 for front and $99 for the back..
I bought the Top of the line Ferrodo pads ( Not sure what they were called) but cost be $129 just for the Pads alone..
Then took it out to my Mechanic for him to fit and it cost me a hell of a lot more...

yes bendix is Dust King. but popular. we do them Ultimate $90 front and $80 rear.

EBC Greenstuff we can do around $160, good enough to race in, and less dust.

Not sure what you mean by top of the line ferodo... DS2500 ?? that's $255 That's the stuff I use for my track car, and would use it on my street car also. Bloody best pads I have used. Mind you the ones I use costs $350 for just the front set.

I'm probably going to fit some of these when the factory brakes go.

Apparently a lot of skyline guys use them and they stop on a dime (AU$0.13).

is that 160 for the pair? how much for the blackstuff? and what are the drawbacks (if any) on either of these? eg brake dust, quick wear, warp discs, etc

I thought they only made EBC greenstuff for the 2 piston models AKA Ralliart and AWD, and not the single piston ones.

i've heard you can't use EBC on DBA rotors rite?

yea i 've been experiencing major squeal since upgrading to DBA slots and Bendix Advances ... anyone know the cause or is it just characteristic of Bendix pads?? really annoying!!

If you cant use em on dba rotors what can u use them on i wonder. Maybe the RDA rotors might do the trick. Hope i can get them for the verada/pajero calipers

yeh my bendix advance like squeaking a lot, i just use brake cleaner on them to get clean once a week or so. 7 dollar can lasted me 6 months or so, nothing permanent tho :doubt:

I'd go EBC or Endless pads...
