(The name its under on the control panel box - where it has 'relay' 'horn' etc)

Is it located under the Steering wheel ?

dunno if its relevant, but im having a similar problem. My gear console light and lights behind my heater section dont work.. i dont think globes are blown, so i hoped it was a fuse... do you still think it would be the room fuse??

its a tr wagon btw

I went and replaced all my fuses, had a look at the condition of each one - they have not been touched for some time.

As I lost my interior lighting - mainly dashboard...

I found the suspect, it was a 15AMP in the Bonnet Section where the fuses are.

Now they are all fresh and should not have problems for a while, my user/car manual got wet in the rain and is almost all destroyed.

Sorry I didnt get to reply earlier otherwise I would've solved your problem right away, I actually did what you did and pulled out every damn fuse till I found it lol.

It's like you said, the 15 amp one, it's actually marked as Tail on the box which is really annoying.
