i saw some guy in sunnybank with a verada... he had a Sage Power Vault (or at least thats what i think it was called). i couldnt understand what he said it does ... but apparently stops lag with the automatic gears. it was a little silver box with a blue led light and about 4 wires coming from it; one was an earth and three over to the engine. it was hidden underneath his dual pod filters and pipes.

has anybody heard of this thing or even have one?

Effectively the same as Power mode button in Commodores or Falcons from memory, just changes the gear shifting pattern.

i just rang those guys. they are having problems making them for the magna for legal reasons and because we might end up blowing our gearboxes. however when they come out im getting one. if i dont find them before that.

I thought 3rd Gen Auto's were supposed to be smart and learned your driving style??
So one would assume that they should change more rapidly anyway ??

3rd Gen auto learns your driving style to the extent it will modify the revs at which it changes gears based on the amount of throttle you give it. Drive with a heavy foot most of the time and it will always change at 5000+ rpm. Drive gently all the time and it will shift below 2000rpm at all but WOT. At least thats how I understand it to work - and what I've experienced with my own.

What myself and many other auto drivers are waiting for is a shiftkit which shortens the 'duration of the gear change'. Instead of a slow smooth transition from one gear to the next for compforts sake (all the while waisting the power we are trying to get to the wheels) it will shift from 1 gear to the next much quicker (which is also harsh and rough when driving normally)
