did you try your local wreckers?

i've heard people doing it for 1200 drive away.

Im not sure you can get it done that cheap but its a very simple conversion. But you will need to ring around to a few wreckers and get a few quotes. Its just a matter or getting the gearbox, computer and centre console gear selecter things.

Id estimate about 2000 tops.

I thought mine was goin 2 bite the dust a few months back...got it serviced and was as good as new...now i reguly top it up with tranny fluid!

i agree with DSLO3L, i thought mine was cactus a while back but a change in gearbox fluid and a new filter made the old girl good as new. make sure you only use the Mitsubishi Automatic Transmission Fluid though, don't use anything else!

I'd prob hold off as long as you can, because the Tiptronic gearbox will drop in price now that it's standard on all models.

What Mitsu will reduce prices ?????

Mate i would love to see that day but i really dont think thats going to happen atleast by mitsu.

coz if you notice as in case of Parabolic headlights mitsu havent droped any price in last 6 years, or say for fog lights for magna.

Mitsu Australia have a very big problem in regards to parts, when they promote Magna
they say proudly All austrlian (as mater of fact we are the one producing it here and exporting it even to USA),

But

when it goes for parts they say well for a Japanese car you can expect to pay high prices for the parts.

any way , i hope you will be right as mitsu will be introducing facelift next month in Newyork motor show and they will realize to lower the prices of spare parts from TE-TF.

cheers
