the old boot install was just a back board, and done in carpet. so now just did false floor, sides, and redid the back coz couldnt put vinyl over carpet. i liked the basic idea of my old boot so kept it

All this High equipement with a Lower ranked sub ???
What a Let down :D

Nice to see you have some Sweet 6x9's the DDD Drives are awesome...
upgrade the Sub to an Alpine Type X ....
All in all a Sweet looking system..
Can't wait to see the end result..

liverpool_rule_88: its fairly easy.... just gota measure up the basic size and over estimate a bit and then chip away at it to make the shape u need. just dont overdo it and cut too much off..

magnat: actually the system is puerly for clarity, a more powerful sub would be pointless coz i wouldnt use it. I only use the sub to like 1/4 of its potential. Its just to add in a tiny bit to give a natural bass tone.

Well, look who's back.

I have to say, looks the same as before. Not a bad choice of equipment either! The old-ish alpine amps were pretty good though.

Yeah, theres nothing better than hopping into your car for a free seat massage thanks to a good 12" subwoofer poundin through the hard vibrations! :-)

Yeah, theres nothing better than hopping into your car for a free seat massage thanks to a good 12" subwoofer poundin through the hard vibrations! :-)you don't need two 12's.
All you need is one 15" square sub :D

Mate, you don't even need 1 15", my 1 12" does it ;-) Keep in mind custom box designed for car and subwoofer..so that always helps.

that boot install looks so awesome...is it an MDF board cut with mitsu logo in it and covered in that grey woofer box carpet, hows it held in? and is there just a neon mounted behind the mistsu logo with perspex in the gaps..cos i would love to do just the board with the mitsu logo and the neon cos that looks sick, i dont have enough to hook the system up but im just lookin for anythin to do my car really haha

Get a Nice Night shot and stick it into the " Magna Boot Hall of Fame " Don't forget to keep that thread Spam free, just list the Goodies you have and who did the install

chuck up a photo of the one you had before john..... arent they similar?

J-PaP
24-08-2005, 09:34 PM
only have a night shot of the old setup and u cant see the differences. The old setup was same mitsubishi symbol and amp showing. but it was just a backboard with carpet. rest of the boot was left looking standard. Now theres new lighting, sidewalls and false floor. and its all redone in vinyl instead. Gives the boot a much more complete look.

:disgusted

I think the Vinyl makes your car look tacky John.. (Vinyl in general is tacky)

Should have went with a carpet finish or if you want to go all out a Black Perspex. Other than that, the concept is nice. Clean and simple.

puerly picked vinyl for 3 reasons
more "showy"
matches with leather interior better
reflects light better
