im happy with the way it looks but i need more power. Ive been thinking about getting a unichip installed been quoted $1600 but is it really worth it?

$1600! probably a bit steep? i have heard that u can get one tuned and fitted for 1200-1300

and before you do that you should consider getting some bolt ons first ... use the search function for details but they will usually be:

- panel/pod air filter (note that pods have to be oval)
- exhaust (changing the rear muffler would be sufficient as gen3s have a pretty good mendrel bent system from the factory... unless you are looking at force induction or serious NA work)
- extractors (pacemakers and RPW offers them... RPW more $$ but better design apparently)
- flowed throttle bodies (u can get them done by EZ Boy for $90... much improved response esp for an auto... and he's a top bloke!)

edit: also some ppl here have other piggybacks as well like haltech interceptors and greddy emanage... those threads are worth a read as well as they have more functions when it comes to tuning... at a price of coz.
