Injectors??????

Anything can go wrong at anytime when thrashing the car. Even the least expected.

Did you check the tyres as well?

pebble (or pebbles) suck in the groves of your tyres - happens to me if my car even goes near gravel.

*edit* Just re read your post and you say it gets faster with the revs - if it's definetly with the revs and not the wheel speed then it would have to be something in the engine or possibly gearbox. If so - you should be able to isolate approximately where in the engine bay the sound is comming from by sticking your head in there while its running and follow the sound.

It could be hydraulic lifters or the injectors.. I havent come across extremely loud injectors though..

i will attempt to isolate the sound, but i think it is coming for the center of the engine bay..

sounds like your lifters, check your oil level.
If your level is ok its not urgent but take it to a mechanic and get him to use some of that iol flush stuff.... forget what its called.

check you're belts and pulleys aswell. Lifters are one thing that can cause a loud cick maybe time for an oil change, try and get a wynns oil flush from a mechanic there the best ones.

Does the car run rough at all ???
