I did the change over to the stero on the weekend, things went smoth except for getting that shit of an airvent cover off.

I found after rtfm the gregorys book, they advise to take the bonnet release off and then remove the bottom cover from under the steering wheel. then remove the cable from the vent control. this still didn't help at all.

what did help was a long screw driver at the back of the clip which holds the vent cover in and a slght tap with your hand. the cover popped off straight away.

so I suggest that the extra effort of removing the bottom of the drivers side dash (4 screws) is well worth while.

now to change those pesky leds over in the aircon and demister buttons.

Goodluck with the LED excersise, its a horrible horrible job and i have just simply given up. I can get the A/C control / centre console lights looking great but matching them with the instrument cluster is impossible.

a bounty for someone who can pull it off and tell me how to do it!
