I just aquired a Dragon panel filter from my mate who just wrote off his VT commodore. I just got it then and was wondering if it will fit in my TR (same basic shape?) it's all dark outside and couldn't be stuffed going to check.. anyone have any idea if it will fit?

personally i think the magna air box is a bit more squared but i wouldn't mind a 2nd opinion

thanks

The similarities probably end at they are both a rectangular shape :)
Our one is totally square and the Commodore is a fair bit elongated.

Spend $200 and get a pod.

I had a panel, now I had a pod fitted, the speed that it gets from around 3000-5500k rpm is amazing, much free'er revving and sounds great.

Pod is the way to go mate.

i was thinking about it!

but that means running a CAI, to do that either bonnet scoop it :D
(but i'd probably get bashed for doing that to a TR)

or put the battery in the boot. not really up for the whole battery in the boot idea. is there a way to run a CAI without chucking the battery??

im putting a bonnet scoop on mine

small one like this:

directly over the pod, a bit of ducting forcing the air onto it, then longer ducting feeding air from the radiator vents to underneath the pod.

I've been thinking about bonnet scoops on a TR...they could be done..but would need to be designed tastefully

Be Careful when u wash your car :) , a little water in the pod is ok.. but if you're like my friend's Gf who didn't know and starting hosing water around the pod, the car died LOL! Oh on top of that, he was clever to wrap it up with a plastic bag at a later wash, but he forgot to take it out and when he started the car, it choked and sucked the bag and disfigured the air filter LOL!! :D

Just thought I let you know first :D

hahahaha im lafin so hard buwahahaha. best way is to design a small cover for the bonnet and stick it on the intake. that wa a lil water may get in but its too big to get sucked in and air can still get in.

haha funny... yer ill do it the logical way, and tape up the hole in the bonnet, rather than wrapping up the pod
