Well due to my altinator failure, i had to put in the code for my radio, me being the kinda person i am, decided to try and do it without knowing what i was doing.. that resulted in me getting locked out from my HU lol lol
So now the question is, how do i unlock it?

Hmm, clever. What does the display show? If you disconnect and reconnect the battery, does it show 'code' again?

And do you actually know the code? :)

normally when u enter the wrong code 5 or more time (depending on brand) u will have to disconnect the battery to totally clear the memory and then u can try again.

Umm, i hvan't disconnected the battery yet, but my battery has failed and had to get it jumped started earlier.. i'm getting my altinator replaced tommorow, so hopefully they'll reset it there lol if not, you think disconnect the battery for 5 mins and see how we go?

Well, i didn't know the code, untill i looked for it, and found it in the manual! However, i didn't know how to move to the next number and back to the lastnmber etc. and thus, ***ed it. It just says "Locked Out" on my HU.

If it first said "CODE" before you tried the wrong code, and it still says "CODE" now - you can try again with the correct code.

If it says something different now like "LOCK" or "WRONG CODE/ERROR", you may have to leave it powered on for like 60mins before it allows you to try again.

Disconnecting it may or may not reset the thing.


Original factory headunit & don't have car's manual (little card insert)? Give your VIN to Mitsu and they'll look it up for you.

Quite surprised the stock speakers do a decent job, once they get fed a decent signal.

Get a new headunit!

I will be getting a new head unit this soon, but i'm waiting till after my bday :P I'd rather my parents pay then me paying lol lol
Anyway, turns out my altinator was fine, but battery was ****ed, got a new battery, it reset the HU and i put in the right code. All is fixed now :)
