I do, but my tyres are too big and they look smallish, but on the 4cylinder if you run the correct profile they look bigger then 16's on a V6. (i have V6 profile on mine).

ive got the exact same problem as u, coz i got the exact same set of rims :P (btw i had mine 1st). in addition to this, we cant get the correct profile rubber on our rims (i was told this by my brother) so this means we would be always running a bit too fast

must be a common problem. I have 16's on mine from TJ sports i think they are and yeh the rubber is too big. Itd look ridiculus with such a gap if i had low profiles so in that it helps but theyre big enough that they rub the tyre wall going around corners, or used to anyway. I had to bash them out. If your going to get any mags with low profiles you have to get it lowered as they look terrible with the massive gap between tyre and quater panel.

Yeh totally agree, but when i get new tyres i will be lowering my car :).

That's bull**** you cant get the right profile, Samurai i think has the right profile and a couple of other members, best bet is to actually check with a tyre place and not your bro :P. (oh and nah you copied me :P).

the 16's look fine! Do the 6 cylinders come with 14's stock?

6's had 15's stock.
And an overall diameter about an inch bigger than the 4.

samurais rims are slightly wider from memory.. i think ours is like 215/60/16, whereas his is 235/50/16... but i will be going to a tyre shop to get my own facts straight, plus in purchase of new rubber, the rears are gettin old and bald

Hey liverpool_rule_88 :)

I used to have 185/75R14 stock from the factory. The closest size for 16 inch is 205/55R16. Next closest would be 225/50R16, which is what I am running. You want to go 17s for looks, although I prefer 16s for practicality...unless you only drive on the race track :)

To upgrade from stock of 205/65R15 for TR elite and V6s, the closest size for 16 inch is 245/50R16, followed by 215/55R16, 205/60R16, 235/50R16 and lastly 225/55R16. The rest are out by a fair bit more. But these are theoretical values, and you might not be able to get these in practical terms.

235 is about as wide as I will go before you start getting clearance issues (assuming no other modifications), especially at full lock. 50 and 45 are the best aspect ratios to run for a good balance between performance, value, and practicality...again, unless you drive only on the race track :)

My 225/50R16 with offset 38 alloys have never presented me with any issues, before, during, and after suspension mods. And it looks better than 205/55R16. I'd highly recommend this size :)

Hope you find this helpful :)

im sure people who go on racetracks have bigger then 17" wheels.
i honestly really like the look of "jos car" with the black wheels.
i really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really want 18"s, but the chrome packages start from like 2K, or just under
and tyres for them start from around 220, so now i might get some 17"s.
my mum aint to happy as she just spent $500 on tyres for the 15"s :P

anyhoo, liverpool rule yadyadya, id go for 17"s, even my mind has changed and you know how i was set on the 18" chrommies.
17"s look good
rubber is resonably cheap
and for young'uns like us they would be a good moneysaver - the saved money goes towards lowering the car :P

IMHO 18"s are to big/expensive (unless someone wants to sell me there 18" chrommies for under 1.5K?)
and 16"s seema bit to small (not in "jo's" case, cause the rims are black it gives a decpetion of them looking bigger then they are)

so 17"s fall right in the middle, and i think 235"s should do it nicely
anyway my two bob frig me its late

my car is dumped as far as youll be able to go without coilovers on 17's (2.5inch king spring superlow) and it barely scrapes at full lock (dont hold the wheel at full lock its also bad for steering components). My wheels are 7inches wide i believe which is good for grippage bad for scrape-age.
I have ralliart wheels which have thickish tyres on them...ill go 18s when i have money to waste on car; ie performance and interior has me satisfied

btw bit rough on s h i t e roads but also alot faster cornering etc
16's aren't worth it 19's are too big....

i think i sit even head height with a stock barina, but my roof is abit higher

225/50 R16 is 0.3% difference from the original rolling diamater of the wheels. No they dont rub on anything.
This is for a 4cyl.
