Hey guys i did the spark plug change in my car TF V6 3lt auto

and the o-ring seals around the top of the rocker cover where the spark plug cables goes in were leaking oil in 5 of the 6 cylinders. Oh and should i change my rocker cover gaskets too.

Im just wandering how much and where did u get yours replaced.

Also i have found a coolant leak in my car that is coming from around the side of the engine where the timing belt is and where the water pump is.

Now im guessing that teh water pump has had it and is starting to leak, but what i want to ask is how long are they meant to last as i replaced teh old leaking water pump at 150,000ks and now im at 220,000ks. Or could the leak be coming from something else??

Also on another note my mums TJ2 will be getting a nice cat back 2.5" system and i will be taking the piping from her car which is the 3.5 and putting it on my 3lt which has some shoking bends near the rear suspension unlike what my mums car has, so i cant wait for the new system on both cars. :D :D

about $60 in parts i think, took me about 30 mins to do
yes u would want to change the rocker cover gasket while yur there

where did u get the parts?

i got quoted by mits about $150 for the parts :nuts:

yep mitsi would charge u that much..
i got it through my mate who is a mechanic so i got the trade price, cant remember the excat amount though, i know it wasnt any where near $150 though

well i got the prices in front of me and its $84 bucks for the rings around the spark plugs and $41 for the gaskets not including GST.

go see repco or global auto repairs they might get it cheaper for u
