alright my car just started playing silly buggers with me. When turning right under accelleration, not hard accelleration but under any accelletation the engine kind of cuts out. Not completely cut out but its like the accellerator stops working. The engine just goes as if it was idling. It only happens for about 1 second then the accellerator kicks in again and its back to normal driving. The car is a manual so any ideas what it could be. Had the clutch replaced about 30 000 km ago and right cv joint 2000 km ago (dunno if they have enything to do with it but ill let u know all the details.)

Does it only happen when you're low on fuel?

in that case it sounds like the same fuel pickup problem other 3rd gens have.. during hard cornering when you're low on fuel the fuel in the tank sloshes away from the pickup and you get the sort of starvation problem you describe.

Only solution, other than replacing your fuel tank with a late model TJ version, is to keep the tank more than 1/4 full.

yeah i have the same problem when i do rapid hill climbs in my car, even with half a tank the light comes on sometimes. when racing hard up a hill around a corner.

sure you dont own a statesman thats wat one does at work??????? somthing to do with the fuel pressure or something holden said so get your fuel ppressure checked

This happens in my 2003 GTV also. I posted a few months ago and got similar responses... low fuel etc. But since then I have experimented with full tank, half tank, etc and it happens regardless. It is usually only when Im racing and turning hard right. I have no idea what it is though... guess I just have to slow down for corners. :evil:

Im pretty sure it was the low petrol, well it has stopped working now that i put filled up a bit. was quite a funny mistake. Screw the petrol price though, cost me $77 for the 65L..... :doubt:
