Hey,

I have got a problem with the starter motor (my car is a Magna 1994TS, V6, Automatic). I try to get a new one right now but I get prices and information that are ambiguous.
One example:

One guy told me that there are four different types of starter motors for the Magna and he has to get the Magna first, check on the starter and then give me a price. This pretty much puts me into a "I have to go with him now"-position if I give him the car.
Is it right that there are various starter motors for my car and what do I have to consider when I want to get a new one. Another offer is an exchange one with a 1 year warranty for $150 (for labour and picking up the car a total of $230). My problem is that I just moved to Perth and I don't have any tools, so doing it on my own is impossible.

Could you guys give me advice if there are that many types of different starter motors or what else I have to consider.

Thanks a lot

Changeover using a recond unit with warrantee for ~$200 all up is a decent price.
