Does anyone know how to remove the plastic covers around the steering coloum?

The people who installed my alarm put the LED is the worst spot, i want to tap into the cable that powers the led and makes it flash and am going to use the LEDs i have left over from my instrument cluster to mount 2 others on the top of my front door panels so they can be seen.

I've removed the screws from the bottom and tried pulling it off but its held in place tight, are there any clips or something im missing? I've used force but anymore and im am going to seriously break something.

Any pointers? :?

yeah but the cluster just isn't happening. Oh well....

Removing the 3 screws from underneath should do it!
Then just give it a bit of a jiggle, and the bottom and top parts should unclip from each other.

well it worked for me anyway.
