Hey peeps ne1 remember me from months ago\?
Well my sys is finally taking shape:

i have a Clarion HU mod numver: DXZ846MC - Kick ass deck i bought months back at clearance prices (i luv a 1/3rd price bargain!)

and nearly paid off (finally) a pair of JL VRc00CSi Splits (sorry tim)
and 12w3 SUB (the Tightest cleanest sounding sub i heard at the price - $370)

I originally had a JL 300/4 amp lined up to power the system (sexy sexy amp that i could get for about $650) but current budgetary constraints are making me rethink so heres my dilemma...

... i need a cheap powerfu l 4 channel amp to run cleanly to my splits and still give da sub nice kick for realistic low end reinforcement (not mad boomin sory bass junkies) - i was thinking maybe the newishJaycar 4 x 100 (130?)w 4 channel - ne1 no if its a good amp for its price? ($300ish i think)

I need sumthin like that so i can enjoy my system while i save for a killer new 4 channel or a nice clean 2 channel and mono blok for the sub...ne ideas on which way to go when i can afford it? (im thinking up to a $1k budget all in all)

Basically its not a huge system just want a nice SQ system on a budget! FYI the interior will be heavilly deadened with DYnamat or equivalent... doors, firewall and boot? (maybe sum more under carpets to kill the remaining road noise)

Eventually when i get my Shiny new Amp(S) the Jaycar (or other budget buy) will go into a work van to run sum custom 3 way spilts - 6.5s in doors with 8's behind the van seats off a custom Xover... so then may put the JL splits in the van and audition some new splits 4 the magna - Peerless? Focal or Morel maybe??? ne suggestions? My problem is in SA i dont have much access to demo the GOOD GEAR!

Sorry to ramble peeps hope you can help..
Cheers,
Alex

i hear tonkins is apparently quite a nice place for expensive gear

im not sure what you wanna do. put it in a van or a magna? (sorry i've done about 9 pages or report writing and been studying hydraulics all day)

i reckon u should go for a nice 2ch amp and a monoblock. dont worry about 6x9s...run them off the headunit or leave them disconnected unless u have passengers.

get a nice 2channel that'll put out 100wrms or so, and monoblock....600+ at least (at normal impedence)

save up...get a quality 2ch from phoenixgold (i like pg) diamond audio, audison, xtant, tru tech, splits from the ppl above would be quite good, including hertz, boston, rainbow, morel, etc etc etc

u could consider the jaycar monoblock....i hear they're good value for money or something.

iv got a 4 channel boss and a 2 channel blaupunkt amp for sale if your interested, although they are cheaper brands they make a system sound surprisingly clean and very loud
