Hey guys/girls,

I've looked up a whole bunch of DIY CAI threads so I know what to do but I can't find the type of pipe that pple have used. Bunnings (vic) doesn't seem to have it, or maybe I am just not looking in the right section. Can anyone point me in the right direction? (SE suburbs, VIC)

Thanks
Candarin

Try Bunnings plumbing section.

Or any Plumbing stores.

If you want to spend a bit more money and get some piping thats a little more heat resistant, you can buy some piping from a Truck specialist parts centre.

I was wondering the same thing. Where can you buy the 90 Degree bends like in TH Smoker's CAI kit? I'm also in SE burbs in Vic.

What exactly are you after - the flexible black pipe - You buy this at Supersheap auto - 80mm diameter, 1M long $30. Sold near all of their riceboy parts (chrome pedals, neons etc).

The Rubber Bit that goes on to the airbox to hook the pipe up? Bunnings, $10, 90mm to 90mm adaptor. Near their PVC pipes cut to length.

The rubber 90 degree elbows - Hard, I found a local supplier, they ain't cheap, but your local turbo fitter will be able to get them for you - about $25-30 per bend.

The aluminium pipe - Your local Capral/Alspec dealer. Not that expensive, even cheaper if you can find an aluminium welder/fabricator and scam an offcut/offcuts. About $20 for cash, no reciept (gotta love the GST for encouraging free trade).
