Hey guys.
Just having an issue with my audio setup. The rundown of my current setup in my VRX is a Eclipse CD5441 headunit, boston 2 ways up front and stock rears.
I had plans to get a nice setup after the purchase of the eclipse HU, including 4 channel amp and 12 inch sub, but wont really have the finance for at least 6 months now :doubt:
The Problem My rears make lots of popping and screeching on some days, at varying volumes -some days they are fine at 50 volume, some days they cant even do 44. It sounds different to distortion that i've heard in the past...(hard to explain) NB - it happens on both CD's and radio.
I got around this by adjusting the sound towards the front speakers. But i have noticed, that when the weather is warm (like today especially) the rears play up even at really low volume, and when pushed - cause all sound to cut out temporarily (head unit still showing output / power - but no sound out of any speakers) and will resume again in a couple of minutes. However, if i had positioned the sound to the front instead, and pumped up the volume to even higher levels...there's no problems!
I have had the wiring, connections etc.. checked by a pro and they said everything appears fine.
Any idea's ?
I feel like i should replace the rears, but dont really want to spend money right now and find out i still have the problem. The only thing's that lead my to second guess the problem is just the rear's dying is that the volume they play up at varies, and also dependant on weather - and the fact that they also cause all volume to cut out when pushed.
Thanks guys!!!
