my bloody passengers front window stuffed on me 2night. we tryed pulling it up it just slides back down. sounds like the motor is still working but it just wont go up at all. please ca anyone help ??

It may have come off its rails. You could open up the door trim and have a look.

My regulator on the passenger side is starting to play up as well now. :rant:

in the TE-TJ its a pull by wire mechanism - maybe your wire is broken. You really won't know till you pull the trim. Or just cough up and take it to a dealer - doors are messy, messy things to work on.

This is a common problem on 3rd Gens and is often covered by warranty if your car is still under new car warranty. My parents failed twice once under warranty and once not.

Was not cheap to fix, especially if it's the motor/regulator...

Our TH had this issue on the driver's door - was able to fix it once but it didn't take long to fail again. Could possibly have done a DIY job, but in the interests of getting it right I decided not to. Got a panel beater to do it as he was cheaper than a dealer and I assume would do these kind of things all the time. One year on, no problems!
