Hi All i have a TR that needs work doing to the motor, to keep the car on the road i have been given a 86 engine (carby model) with only 42k on a full rebuild .what i want to know is will the 86 fit the Tr and can the heads be changed over to keep it EFI? both run an auto box

that swap should be ok but a standard TR EFI has higher compression pistons so expect the same compression and power as a 1st gen and possibly higher fuel consumption.
