Hey all,
just wondering if anyone knows how much it'd cost for...
1) full ks verada dash
2) ks door inserts and power windows equipment.

I really hate the ghetto blue colour plastic; doesn't match leather and carbon fibre, look awesome in black with black carpet

thanks

may i ask, if you purchase new interior products, and you get rid of these old ones, would you sell em?
if so what would you sell from the interior and have u got any pics
( i need new dash basically, and 4 door skins)

sorry to be of no help at all but if u got any pics of possible sale items send em to me on msn or PM me

hey dude, i would sell em heaps cheap but another reason i want to replace is some parts arent in the greatest of condition....nah i think its pretty alright.
At the moment im saving to put a chip in the car, then amp, then steering wheel/gearstick, then short shifter, then all this, so it'll be next year at the latest when i get to this and i fear it might cost about 2k for all this as ive heard 2nd hand power windows is pricey... ill pay that if its worth it, im a big fan of what i consider class
so anyway ill remember your interested when i get to it;
peace

Dash mate? The dash stayed the same throughout the second gen series (just varied in colour). Do you mean centre console?
Othwise, go to a wreckers mate, there are so many smashed second gens there its not funny. I found so much stuff there. Althrough, they do try rip you off sometimes. So make sure you pocket a few bits and pieces :D

You'll be paying a hefty price if you were to get them brand new from Mitsubishi, if they even stock them.

Else go to the wreckers. Just a heed of warning, there ain't that many KS Verada's at the wreckers, so you'll probably want to visit your wrecker on a routine basis so as soon as a Verada comes in then you can take all the parts you need. And I mean it, take ALL the parts you need otherwise someone else will do that, they are rare!

Btw, the magna's came in a variety of trim colours as Reigns as said. So I'm sure you will be able to find a Magna dash in black. What you will need later are the woodgrain trim pieces and your door trim.

verada door trims arent that expensive, depends on which trim you want whether its the leatherish one or just the cloth one! Im pretty sure i have seen both, just have a look around and see whatcha find, ring magna wreckers in lilydale if you live out near me :)

I just raided an Elite magna on the weekend, same interior as the KR XI or the KS Verada, got all parts I wanted very cheap, noting left, just wanted to add to the other 2 interiors in my shed :)

If you find one get the lot, the XI is better as it has little things like the italic writing on the cluster and the white needles.

Also remember there are 3 shades of woodgrain so get matching all form one car if you can.

dooooooooooode, dont be greedy, share them around,i.e. ME. :P i know your in south australia, but ill pay for postage.
maybe you could help me out with the following;
4 door panels
right hand electric mirror
new dash (just the ledge that goes under the air con vents)
TS garnish (preferably moroon)

the magna wreckers are over an hour away, so there goes that solution.
willing to sell any parts mate?

Executives are "D" line
SE is "P" line
Elite/Verada is "X" line

If you are converting a 2nd gen to power windows then the easest way is to swap the complete doors with power windows from a "P" or "X" line car (if you can get clean ones the same colour)
With complete power window doors:
You will need to replace the main body wiring loom which runs from the tail lights loom to the dash and everything in between with one that suits power windows.
you will also need the high series wiring loom fitted inside the dash that runs to both front doors, dash clock, the instrument cluster, etc.
You also need to fit a power window relay in the relay/fuse box under the bonnet.

If you are converting to full elite/verada options then you will need the "X" Line underdash fuse box.
For the climate control u need heater box with electric controls, wiring looms and temperature sensors from the roof and dashboard.
For the cruise control, (with high series body loom to suit cruise) you need the steering column clock spring, engine wiring loom, control box, and underbonnet motor/actuator with cables, mounting brackets, and clutch switch for manual.

I have what was a 4cyl exec auto (VIN says it is anyway) that is now manual and has most options. Not got climate control, parabolics or front door speakers and have got SE fabric not Verada velour/leather seats.
This was done by reshelling a complete low km hail damaged car into a clean body shell the same colour, i did it because the Exec shell has a LPG system with in-date tags.
I reassembled all the old exec bits in the damaged shell and sold it complete, as is with a blown motor.

All that said, ask Madmagna if you need to know precise details because he does have a lot of experience with stripping and rebuilding high series 2nd gens.

great info guys.

I was scared about all the wiring needed, i don't really want to buy new doors just everything but the metal...

im going to be spending a bit of time at the wreckers. 5 different looms ay, mines manual i don't want cruise control, just electric windows and clock, probably end up painting woodgrain, depends, probably paint current plastic and save woodgrain...i dont know, hope it won't cost too much to get all the stuff working together...how hard is it??
thanks

If you can get an SE as a wreck you should be ok.

The doors can be converted to run the fast glass however as stated above you will need the wiring harness. The good thing about the Magna is it is all in sections which unplug. It looks daunting but when you get into it is so basic anyone could do the job.

Also try and get the "X" series lower control arms as well, they are a better set up as are the front rotors etc. "this is assuming you have the 4cyl car"

Then again I just looked at your profile and you have the 6 :D

And the sports wheel from the third gen is black so what is the problem?

Mine is the dark blue, little different to yours as I have an XI but it looks great

OMG tell me about it eh! Went to pick and payless today pocketed a replacement fuel cap, verada dashboard clock (which i dont know how to hook up just yet) and a new magna badge and v6 badge.
I purchased new sun visors and an ashtray for the magna which was $20 not too bad... but i asked for the dashboard from the verada to put into my TS and they go $75 then the other bloke said $50... so I was $20 short couldn't get it today. I was so tempted to walk out with it.

The KS dash is a lighter shade grey than the TR/TS (well only TR with a grey interior I been in is a TR GLX, and that was a diffrent shade than mine)

I have a set of KR woodgrain door switches here as well as some odds and ends of the ks ones, various shades.

Think I still have some heater control and radio surrounds lying around too if you are interested.

The only difference in the KS verada dash is the inserts, the climate control and the dials are italic. you would have to go the full climate control if you want to change the lower section, including the heater, aircon and fan boxes, the controls, the control unit etc etc, big job but it can be done
