Nice idea. Keep it that way, and don't bring it into reality.
Spend the money on colour-coding or something else instead.

explain 'drift wing' i think ppl are getting confused...... you dont mean a big silver aluminium GT wing do you?

a proper drift wing comes out flat over the back of the car, and doesnt stick up much at all. Its also usually the colour of the body too. think of a bigger version of the bootlip on an M3 or M5.

i m guess he means GT wings?

personally i reckon they look ok on like silvias and supras (although i prefer wingless)

some things only belong on some cars..... ie 22" spinning chrome only on SUV's or big *** off yankee trucks. not on some beat up VT

does anyone smell that?
i think theres something cooking....
i think it smells like rice... but im not sure...

drift wing on a front wheel drive car? :disgusted

magna's cant drift
theres a big difference between drifting and ass dragging...

if your after sporty there are plenty of other wings out there that'd work well.
my personal opinion. magnas look phat with no wings at all

i've been looking for something like this...... i want, i want!!!! You could possibly look at modifying a DJR rear spoiler lip for the BA Ford...

Im sure they are flexable enough.

I'm in two minds as I'm not sure if they look good or not. The main thing is they are not overstated, look-at-me, tacky bolts on monstrocities. Wings look fine if they have taste, subtle and don't make the car pretend to look like something it isn't. At least they probably do something for the car as they are performance cars and Magna's are not and regularily get used on Autobahn's etc.

Hmmm... must get good downforce for my Magna because I pretend it's RWD. (And yes I know that Booya reckon that it felt more stable at speed but who else is legally allowed to see that benefit?)

how often (and im talking about here in OZ) will you see an M3 or M5 do speeds in excess of 200kmh? and those lips do not do anything for downforce, they are purely cosmetic (made of plastic ffs!)

Im talking about a lip..... not a full on massive Mcdonalds tray or some aluminium monstrosity..... nice and subtle.... like an M3.

Mate, you can't force your opinion on anyone.

I don't particularly like "lip" spoilers either, I think they look just as tacky as GT wings.... well maybe not as tacky... but up there.

But each to their own, I'm sure your car would look good with a lip, but you can't convince everyone that it looks great.

Hardly at all here but I made an obvious referrece to their origins. Track days would be about it.

Well, there you go. I can just remember a car mag saying that a model of car had one like this and it was actually functional. In that case it's borderline on being a tacky bolt on. It's saving grace is that it's nice and subtle. I don't think it looks bad, I just don't think it looks that good. GT and drift wings however look aweful.

No Good on Front Wheel Drives??
You cannot tell me the Green Eclipse from The Fast and Furious did nothing for you ??

Any Integra suites the GT wing..

If you get a Wing make sure it is the Biggest one you can mount legally then it can serve as an Ironing board when you are not driving...

Yeah, you're right. It made me puke.

Actually, the R34 Skyline has a very nice low profile GT style of wing in one of their models. It wouldn't suit every car though. I think it would suit an Integra too.

Bad choice of wording.

Irregardless, you were attempting to convince others that lips are nice, subtle etc

jarod
02-09-2005, 07:17 AM
if your asking about it u should just get it i think...its your car and your choice...

but havin said that.... when you put it on and realise it looks like cr@p come back to us and we will with say "we told you so" or give you a flogging...

the only thing thats worse than a gt wing or a drift wind is the spoiler you always c on excells and integra's...they look like a massive pram handle!!!spanning from one side of the car to the other....if you could dip it in detergent and drive off tho that spoiler would make a sweet buble on the highway!!lol

but in all seriousness if you wnt one go do in mate...your car, your rules...spoilers are just like bodykits if you think about it...they serve no real purpose apart from looks???and how many ppl have bodykits??ok so they may not be exactly the same thing to compare but its sorta correct.
but hey if someone offered me a body kit i wouldnt knock it back!!

at least with the wind you can take it off too if it looks bad

It blends in with the roodf line !! nice wing.. One you can only see from the side...
I have always liked the " Batmobile " type wing fitted to VT Commodores....

In my opinion I like subtle wings with a height less then 20cm off the deck anything else is just adding insult to injury..

The white line you can see is the top of the wing....

3rd gens looks sweet without any wings at all. I actually think the best looking one for the Magna is the subtle one on the TL/TW's. The stock TJ ones looked a bit too 'ricey' IMHO.

A GT wing is like most rice mods, unless it fits the look of the car it will look crap. In your case you would need 'phat' rims and a 'sick' bodykit. 3rd gens are great looking cars, even the a stock TW VRX has the potential to look really nice.
