was with my friend Julian, hes a bit of a mitsu fan (doing up his lancer). Anyways it was from the lights turning right so i had the inside lane, i could see he was giving it some, and he was nudging ahead of me, but i stopped at the speed limit, he didnt.

Julian says "Magnas are much more fun than commodores to drag." and added "Magna's are a great car"

Well of course hed beat me, he has an extra litre and 2 cylinders, but i had the manual gearbox, but they are a great car :D

a mate of mine has a KS and its nearly neck to neck i can just manage to get 1/2 a car lengh ahead unless i take off spining too much lol

well we started at the lights which is a immidiate right hand corner.

As for the model, im not sure, it wasnt the KR or KS, it was newer, but i dont think it was a > 2000 model. Im guessing it was a 3.5 litre but what do i know. All i know is looking through the passenger window he was just a bit faster than me, but then i realised i was speeding so i slowed.

corner draggin is great, shows off skill rather than the cars balls lol

obviously the beefer cars goes on the outside,

oh and its more fun if right after that corner drag it merges into 1 lane, makes it easier to decide on the winner :P

Cool story dude. Reminds me of dragging off a mate's R31 Skyline a year or so back. Walked into his work the next day and asked how it felt being beaten by a 4 cylinder in his supposedly fast Skyline. He replied - "Dont tell anyone it's a 4, I told them all it was V6". :bowrofl:

I am confident that my car is pretty quick of the line too.

well we didnt set it up for a drag, i just stopped at the lights and by his car and attitude i knew he'd give it some (he came up quick and had some nice rims on it, think it may have been a little low), he was ahead of me at the start at the lights as i stop at the line and he didnt, and i just thought id give him a run for his money.

My car is old, and not that good so i only take it to 4000rpm so i dont break anything, and usually its enough to beat autos.

i can see how a manual efi gen1 could keep up with a r31 auto...

r31 autos/vl autos are not as quick as they are given credit for... 5spd r31s however, they are quick - even do chirps in 3rd :D
