Hi hi.

Quick questions.

I wanna debadge my car soon and ive seen a few magnas round with the chrome boot thingy and decided i want one.
But i was just look around ebay b4 and saw that the Diamantes have the chrome boot thing but it says Diamante on it obviously.

Now the questions.

1. Would it be a stupid idea putting one of these boot garnishes on my car?
2. How hard would it be to get one?

Well i got one from the US late last year with diamante on it.

I like the look on peoples faces asking me what a DIAMANTE is?= :bowrofl:

check out mysti's ... www.mysti.org/gallary/ she has it as well. its pretty common. i dont mind it, better than the dull grey. however chrome with MAGNA is better :P

apparently they are easy to source in NZ if i remeber tza mentioning a whlie ago. But would be a quick grab on US ebay i think.

when i called north syd mitsu the other wk for one they said $91. :cry:
i reckon its a lil steep but i'll b getting one when i pick up my new window washer water bottle anyway.

someone coulda put that chrome one to good use....:roll: like me

I painted mine cos there is no chrome on my car except around the windows and the chrome garnish looked a bit gay on the back of a all white car.
My car came with a magna one already painted white from factory, which i then filled in the magna writing and repainted for the smooth look but then in 2000 i was offered a diamante garnish for $5 so i took it. :D

It took me months to find and convince 1 out of 2 Mitsubishi dealerships that a chrome boot garnsih that says "MAGNA" exists... lol you can follow my fun and games here...

As for a Diamante one, we have a few International members here who may be able to source one that might be prepared to get mailed from overseas... you might get lucky one day on ebay, but my bet is you are going to be paying more for it, but if you are prepared to do it, then fair enough.... hopefully someone can help you out.

Its sitting in a cupboard in my shed with all my other magna spares.

Not really.
All it is is the standard magna garnish that the TH sports had from factory except ive filled and smoothed it off so the imprinted "magna" is gone and then repainted it white. :)

i can get you the DIAMANTE truck garnish. as i live in the us... ill call mitsu and find out how much for you.

The 'diamante' garnish part number is MR907589, you can buy it through your local dealer. RRP$86.25 inc.
