Is it possible to remove the back parcel shelf in a 2nd gen magna?

I need to get it out so i can fit some spacers onto the 6*9 holes so i can get some 6.5" in their.

ow, dam.

Stupid installation guy, told me it could be taken out.
Maybe he was talking about the carpet lining on the top.
