Hey guys,

I have been wanting climate control in my car for a little while now, and I was just wondering if i got a hold of the climate control module and a new dash would that be all i need???

Like, would it just hook up to the existing AC/Heater, or would there need to be other modifications done???? Or is it just not possible without buying a whole new climate system??? (IE. AC Compressor, extra computers and **** etc etc)

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Would think it would be a big job.

Remember that the climate control system uses automatic motors to control temp, air flow direction and fresh/recycle combinations where as the non climate systems use the manual cable system. Also i'm not sure where all the sensors are for the climate system. There is one in the actual control unit, one i think at bottom of windscreen in middle and possible one in the roof somehwere.

I'm also not sure if all the wiring looms would be there ready to go. I doubt it somehow and i could just imagine how hard that would be to get and install.

Sounds like a very major project.

Yeah, actually i remember installing a stereo for a friend who has a VRX with climate control, and thinking - whoa this would be a massive conversion.
There is a lot of auxilary stuff there and extra ECU's and sensors and a different loom for you to change it over.
Its definately not impossible, and to be honest probably not a heap of work (once you start pulling stuff apart it all happens pretty quickly) but it would be damn expensive.

If you could get all the bits theres no reason why it wouldnt just install.
