if your going to do cams, i would do the
RPW Extractor/ stage 1 cam combo
ralliart cams are roughly a stage .5 i think, go the whole hog :D

only problem there is the rpw cams take 1/2 of my budget away, and thas not installed.

i wouldnt advise the apexi as it is very limited in tuning
and yeah the ralliart cams arent agressive enough spend the extra $500 and go rpw or dont go any at all

oh nice? is that one better than a GReddy eManage?
if so, go with that & the ralliart cam idea ;)

the sprintex s/c kit might be worth a look i am not sure of the price but it is a decent power gain(when fitted to a 3.5 from 163kw to 225kw and 425nm) that sounds pretty good to me there is a vid on the forum here somewhere
ok well i just found out that it is about 7g and more than what you wanna spend but i think that would be awesome
anyway i have made a fool out of myself so i will be going now

dont buy rpw cams if u only have 2k to spend. You need 1100 for the cams, 240 for cam gears (trust me you need these). and somehow get a piggyback to have the car running properly with whatever cash is left. For 2k get pacemakers and have your flex pipe replaced just before your cat. Invest in a greddy emanage or unichip. Get the ralliart cams if you can install it yourself.. its a easy enough job (done it myself in the past). Otherwise its not worth it $ wise.

If you want the RPW headers HPC coated - that'll blow them out to half your budget too. Personally for 2K I'd finish your exhaust (ie: extractors of your choice, high flow cat, and 2 1/2 inch piping from cat to rear muffler) and use the change to get flowed T/B, fuel pressure regulator, and insulating manifold / T/B spacers.
But that's just me - cause as far as I'm concerned, replacing the muffler only is like only doing half a job.
thanks for the correction cthulhu

I hope you meant RPW extractors :P

Knowing them they'd probably coat the cams and charge ya another $500 on top. :bowrofl:

He's got the CAI already so you don't have to worry about that. You'd be looking at about $1500-$1600 for the other 4 things you've listed. If you know of somewhere that will install and tune a GReddy for $500, I'd love to know about it. Otherwise a GReddy sitting in it's box in your garage isn't very good "bang for your buck"

Strictly speaking you can install it yourself and get it tuned for $20, but I wouldn't advise on it because that equates to about 5 minutes on the dyno ;)
If you're not handy with a soldering iron, don't have a wiring diagram, or are generally afraid of the phrase "strip some of the insulation from the green wire on ECU pin 4", I'd get a pro to do the install for you.

For what it's worth, Dallas from Street Torque has just sent Crow a set of factory cams from a 6G74 (probably my old ones lol) so they can get everything together. So if they don't make 'em today, they will soon.
I'm replacing my RPW ones with some hotter Crow items in a month or two if everything goes to plan  :shifty:
