well as the name suggest my boot on my TF leaks, and leaks bad
basically you can pour a bucket of water from the top of the rear window and it will run down and about 1/4 of the water will end up in the boot
its toward the center, quite close to the front of the boot (back of the car)
now i have checked the seals and they seam fine, what they hell could be the problem?
cheers

The seals :P
AFAIK they're the only thing that stops water getting in. Is there something stuck in the boot that could move one of the seals out the way when it's closed?
Is there any damage to the boot?
Are the seals a little craked or anything?
Are they folded over at all?

no damage to the boot, the rubber seals look fine to me, like in perfect condition and wen it shuts it looks like the rubber seals meet the boot lid

Park in bright sunshine, jump inside the boot and close the lid. Can you see light?
oh yeah, best to have a RESPONSIBLE  friend/rello outside to let you out again.
(that remote plipper don't *always* work from inside the boot!!)

If you can manage to get a responsible person, try pouring a little water on the back window while you'r ein the boot and see where it's coming from.

i had the same prob but only when i went thru one of those car lovers laser washers the jet stream of water goes in thru the boot lid ie ubouve the numberplate where the lights are and where the boot garnish is. it lets the water thru but not with a hose or normal car wash only the high pressure ones like laser wash.
last time i did it at bonnyrig in sydney it went thru my amps i had to rip them out quickly and dry them out lucky it worked lol.

I have also had the seals around the taillights leak on a TJ exec.
Try there as well...

I had the same problem in my TR magna, i checked the seals and their all fine.
But the problem was, the glue under the seal came off, so even though the seal wasnt damaged you could pull the seal up and the water could get under.
Go around and try pulling your seal up all around the boot and see if thats the problem.

easy i had the same problem - pull the seal off silastic or ultra blue sealent where it sits, put the seal back on wipe of excess let it dry no more leaks
