Looking at getting some King Lows off a '95 Wagon, and just wondering if they will fit my 3rd gen wagon. These are for the front only. Are there any differences between the two? Anything I should know?
Thanks...

After looking at the King Springs parts list, it says it would fit.

Would that then mean that a set of super lows off a 3rd gen would fit a 2nd gen? :D

Are wagon springs different to sedan springs or are they the same?

Different. The wagons have a totally different suspension setup in the rear compared to the sedans.

Spot on. The sedans have independant rear susp, whereas the wagons have a beam axle. Changing the rear shocks was dead easy for me. Jack car up, remove wheel, 2 nuts and the shockie was free :) Unfortunately it does mean that I cant put coilovers in :(
I suppose the rear springs from a 3rd gen wagon wouldnt fit a 2nd gen wagon. As (as best to my knowledge) no-one makes super-lows for the rear :(

interestingly enough the 2nd and 3rd gen wagons use same springs all round

I beg your pardon? The front springs can be used interchangeably between 2nd and 3rd gen wagons (As I said in my first post) but the rears are different. I have both wagons, I have gone under and replaced the parts myself, they are not the same.
But yes the 2nd gen sedans are not fully independent, uses a beam axle, however is still significantly different to the wagon's tubular axle.

those part numbers were taken straight from the kings springs catalogue
they maybe close enough to be interchangable

My mistake. Darn about rears not being interchangable. I wonder if that means coilovers could go into fronts but not rears...

They wouldn't happen to be the springs that Puck is selling would they? :)
They should fit... as said by the others.

Ok, I hve fitted more king springs in the past few years than most of you have had roots.
The TR - TW front are the same part number. I have these in my KR
The SEDAN, rears are different, only in the guage of the spring. I have third gen rears in my KR as they are stiffer than the second gen.
The wagon, same thing, the third gen is a thicker spring, you could in theory put the second gen into a third or a third into a second as diameter is the same.
For any one interested. I have a pair of Monroe GT gas rear shocks to suit a third gen sitting in the shed.
