just recieved an email from Knox auto carpets saying they now sell 3rd gen molded replacment carpets.

incase you dont know they come in a HUGE range of colours, and all available in loop pile, plush and super plush, with optional sound dedening underlay, and extra carpet by the metre if u wanna do your boot aswell,

ive been waiting for these for ages as i was gunna put super plush pile burgandy carpet in my burgandy TE, but as it happens i lose my licence as of tuesday 6th september and my father will be taking the car as he's got written off recently, theres no point putting carpet in there if i cant appreciate it. so mods on the magna will cease for 6months.

Are you sure it is for 3rd Gens?

The second Gen Magnas were available up until 1996 and there is nowhere I could see on their website which stated 3rd Gen Magna/Verada. I was after some carpet for my brothers Verada and was told by a trimmer that the moulded Carpets can only be sold if the car has been out of production for over 10 years and the Manufacturer no longer uses the same floor pan in any vehicle in production. This means that a change in interior carpet is about $500 as the carpet needs to be made custom by the trimmer.

I could be wrong but I bags not being the first one to order the carpet.

Hmmmm I can only see that magna is listed up to 1996 as well...

BUT, if they do 3rd gens, $185 delivered for brand new carpet is awesome...dont really need it....but it would be nice :P

EDIT: also looking at their website....I notice the carpet is not one piece which kinda sucks...definitely a drawback as it wont look like factory stuff :cry:

i will soon, the guy who had the car before me glued new carpet over the old carpet, the new carpet is red.... the old carpet has tacky yellow glue all over it....

well the red is in more hten 2 peices lol so im happ with just 2 peices, wont be so noticable in black either

and yes, there is ltos of red everywhere, just getting moeny up to change it all over, and some time off work to i can buy the stuff :rant:

These guys are hopeless, e-mailed them about the verada and wanted to know if the plastic tabs came with the carpet so it will not slip around.

The guy told me that he has never heard of a Verada and does not make mats for this model?????

Guess we wait for the rest to own theirs first before taking any new orders. Like to know how they work out, website looks boring, they looked more focused on Holdens. But it be great to see members here who get it and give their verdict on their products.

I went there the other day and spoke to them for a bit, they're no help whatsoever. It was literally like trying to speak to a brick-wall. Though there were some alright burnouts down the end of the court (still evident) :-) Plus it's next to an adult bookshop so no time was wasted at all.
