Hey guys ive just had a quote for an exhaust and was wondering if its any good...


...i have a 97 KH Verada and the quote is for a cat back 2.5" mandrel bent redback system incl. muffler and installation for $440 - is it a good deal?

sounds close but you should be able to talk them down a few dollors
or get them to put on a nice tip for free

I was quoted $380 for full 2.25" catback system + muffler supplied and fitted. So I guess it's in the range. :)

I had a Redback system cat back (Mandrel Bent) installed by Midas for $340, but that was probably over a year ago now... I was the first Magna they fitted with the system (that particular workshop i mean) so they may have installed at a loss... or near to... if you can knock them down to $400 I think you will be doing ok. :)

I recently got my system for $410 thats 2.5" cat back with a Stainless MagnaFlow muffler and dual dumpers.

Well aparently the stock system is a 2.5inch mandrel bent system?..or at least 2.5inch

res and cat are fine. So really a Hi Flow muffler is what you need. ive been quoted $250 for a cannon installed, $300 for a magnaflow installed. But another place where we are good friends of the owners said he can fit a hi flow muffler for around $120-130 and a tip varys from 20-70.

if it's a redback muffler, you should be able to talk them down to $350

Actually only the 3.5L engines got a mandrel bent 2.4" not 2.5" i can assure you now that the 3lt TE/TF do not have 2.5" Mandrel bent, esp over the rear suspension.

My mums TJ2 definately has approx 2.5" Mandrel Bent all the way on her car unlike my 3lt TF which is about 2.2" and not mandrel bent.
