herd that the starion (not sure if thats who it is spelt) is a bolt on upgrade to the 2.6 astrons, friend did it with his sigma and gained more power up top

ive had a mate who used a MSI igntion "booster" which sits after the coil to amplify the voltage more, then it goes to the dizzy. the car was efi yes, but didnt make that much difference it just felt "smoother". i guess with higher voltage you can get bigger spark but whats the point if your plugs are gapped to factory specs? i guess u can gap them bigger, getting bigger spark and putting less strain on the ingition with the aftermarket coil/amplifier.

edit: "Increasing ignition output allows you to open the spark plug gap without increasing misfires. Opening the gap up to present a larger spark to the air/fuel mixture maximizes burn efficiency and available horsepower"

if you have changed compression in your car or other mods etc it may be worthwhile. otherwise not worth the money in my opionion
