ok, this is freaking weird. i was driving last night and suddenly out of nowhere, whammo! my clutch pedal hits the floor! it just sat there about 5mm of the well, however with a feather touch it still engaged the clutch, and drove allright. it made driving a bit ruffer while i got used to it but after a while it was preety cool. its like driving a 5 speed clutchless manual. all i have to do is flex my big toe and its in gear. i do, however, realise that this really aint good and it could be doing some serious damage to my clutch/box. does anyone know what might have happened and how it can be fixed? a guy said something to me about a return spring? any ideas?

Sounds like a spring..it doesnt sound like the plate itself or anything.

Did you hear any noises when it happened? Like a clunk or anything? Im guessing maybe the spring has broken?

yeah that happened to me too in my TS
on my car it was something to do with a sleeve on the master cylinder for the clutch and the slave was shot so it stopped working completely

i think it cost about $300 to fix but cant be sure..

yeah it completely crapped itself last night. had to get it towed home. only problem is is that im writing this on a computer at the airport waiting to board a flight to nz. so its gonna have to sit outside my house for a few weeks till i get back, then im gonna have no money anyway. my mechanic told me its probably a leaking slave cylinder which was why it still drove for a while until it lost all pressure and completely crapped itself. shouldnt be too bad to fix. he said in an emergency you can keep topping it up with brake fluid until you get home or to a mechanics. bit of a bumber though, and it had to happen completely at the wrong time too. just as im going overseas and i just let my dealer warranty slip coz i didnt want to pat 360 bucks for a bodgy oil change and some tyre black! damn dont i feel like an idiot now. this keyboard is so hard to use, all the fricken letters are in chineese! well gotta go jump on a plane now. take it easy everyone!
