thats excellent because as you know im rebuilding my tp and this one is an elite with the efi in it so i will just put my old head on it and it should be good. could there be anything else doing instead of the head because there **** loads of oil.

Just to be sure, check if there is any water in the Oil too.

BTW does it run ? If its running fine and there is a **** load of oil in the radiator, its probably something else.

there could also be a crack in the block but chances are its the head

Make sure you flush your water system out. I had an oil leak into my water system and I ended up with a light brown sludge throughout the system. Within a couple of days (didn't know it was happening at first) I had buggered almost every hose on the car. Including the heater hoses and we all know how much of b*****rd they are to replace.

was the car owned by someone who does'nt know the radiator cap from the oil cap (I have seen it happen  ) or there is oil under pressure being fed into the radiator from the sump. What condition is the engine oil in and what is the level? Is the oil in the radiator just as dirty as the sump oil or is it clean?

Sounds to me like your head gasket is blown or the head has cracked. I have seen Magnas do it and still run OK, they just mix the two (which is bad btw).

Two things to check:
1) Check for water in the oil
2) Run the car with the radiator cap off and see if there are any bubbles in there, this usually indicates a head gasket/head problem.

I'd be interested to see how it goes but I would say it's a head/gasket problem :)

If old mate says he done the head he may have not done it properly or it may have had something wrong to begin with LOL

well the pro rang me today and said that the head has a 6mm crack in the cam chamber and its stuffed. so of anyone in melbourne has a head thats not too bad and can get me to adeliade. i will be very interested as the pro says that a recon with gaskets will be about $500. and thats $500 too much .
