Okay people,
I am after some suggestions as to get a bit more grunt from my 91 TR SE 2.4L (Auto) Magna. Air filters, exhausts, any brands setups that people would suggest that work well? any info would be great.
Cheers,

Hi there;
I always believe that a car should breathe easier and fart better to make power... :oops: :lol:
In other words... A filter and a muffler first over the OEM ones will make gains..... I personally like MagnaFlow... hee hee hee.....

Isn't your motor the 2.6 astron?
I agree with sports. Start with a pod and some cold air ducting. Swap the muffler and look at some extractors. The stock exhaust plumbing is fine. If you want more power look at a rising fuel pressure regulator and a bored out throttle body.
We will be able to supply you with what you need at a very competetive price.
Hope it helps.
Also if its a manual, look at a quick shifter, that is a very worthwhile mod and fun to :mrgreen:
I bought a POD filter for my TH 99 sports, but before installing it on that i just chucked it on the TR SE 4cyl we have (manual) and shit did it make a difference - i could actually feel the car pulling more with it on this oine where on the TH it only made a tiny bit of difference to the top end.. also gave the tr a nice throaty induction noise when at full throttle.
A friend also got a cat back exhaust for his TR manual 4cyl and could keep up with my v6 TR manual stock.. so the stock breathing on these is shocking.. also on the tr's the exhaust piping is quite small from what ive seen - only on the newer models they went to 2.5" stock..
(maybe the v6 trs, but not the 4cyl ones!)
Good luck dude..
these engines take a hammering :) ours still purrs like a kitten at 235,000k's!

The 2.6 is a great motor. My old TS copped some brutal punishment, and i mean brutal! Its was one resiliant son of a ***** and i loved it. Had loads of torque and with a few mods they pull like a freight train. A brilliant car.
The onlu problem i had was the timing chain.
