Hey guys, I have a 93 Magna TR and I just installed my 6X9s at the rear. However, when I turn the volume up to around 14-15, the entire rear deck rattles and it sounds terrible. are there any ways to solve that?

First up I Would make sure u've mounted them solidly. perhaps place them on a baffle (if it will fit) otherwise try some blutack under the speaker or speaker sealant to get a good seal.

Then look at deadening...

Funily enough I found a big problem in mine today as well, there's a rattle just next to the brake light, UGH, another $160 for sound-deadening :|

Whenever ive mounted 6*9z ive always tried to make a new parcel shelf (or at very least custome MDF baffles screwed down thru the originial) out of good ol MDF (never done a magna but i imagine its flimsy as F***!) - its the only way to get a big speaker running any power to sound better than POO!

Seriously instead of spending BIG BUX deadening a cardboard/masonite wobble board make up a nice solid MDF shelf and screw to that, recarpet it and it looks stock!

Good Luck

No one's able to justify the pricing of sound-deadening, and if anyone actually does than they're kidding themselves. It's a complete joke; however, works fantastically ;-)
