Hey all,

I am currently rebuilding a 91 KR Verada and I have discovered the TCU is missing ... My friend has one out of a 94 TS manga executive, will it fit and work? (both are autos)
or do I need one from a KR?

I know, I may be a noob but it's the life ... lol

Thanks,

As long as his TS is a V6 there is no reason why it shouldn't.

May have been missing before and he may have received the car not going??

The TS unit is different from memory, the TS/KS retard timing at idle when in gear to help stop drag on the trans. Although this is controlled by the ECU, the TCU gives the signal.

All I can say is check the part numbers, the plug etc, if it looks similar and you can risk poping the spare tcu give it a go lol

Also make sure you are looking at the place the TCU goes and not another control module, especially if it is an XI with climate control
