Change insurance company. go to shannons or another one that allows mods

God dam

Dont think i can for about another 9 months as i am signed up but i will check it out , so there is no way 30 ml will be unuf , he told me to get the dudes there to right out the invoice for the springs saying they only ride 30 ml lower and then racv cant do anything about it

lol if you wanna go that low, you will have to change insurance companies. or do what i did and only go the 30mm and pay $350/yr full comp with NRMA instead of $1000 with just cars

if you crash they WILL measure the ride height of your car! if you wanna lie to your insurance company whats the point in paying them? save yourself 600 bucks and drive around un insured

Until you are at least 25 insurance is going to suck no matter what you do anyway.

Shannons are good for modded cars but you pay for it with something usually. Years ago I had a mate who got a show piece Trans Am... pity he could only drive it for something stupid like 5000 kms per year lol (ok, that wouldn't happen in this instance)

Wasn't there like a budget insurer that didn't mind some mods... I cant remember now "Just Insurance" or something... or was it just cheap insurance... but yeah RACV are pretty strict.

mays: u can call up racv and cancel your policy. THey WILL refund you the remaining 9 months of insurance worth. Go with just cars. Never had a prob with them.

i think there was a thread somwhere about pedders saying ings super lows were ilegal
and only for showcar use, but hepas of people have them anyway so i guess it doesnt really matter.

yeah Just Cars are great!

They charged me an extra $80 p/a for exhaust and lowered.. and they werent even interested in what id done to the exhaust or how much it was lowered!!

and my premium wasnt increased at all for the above two mods

JustCars are apart of AAMI, who apparently are a bunch of rip off merchants.(except for the chick in the tv ad,she's sexy lol ) the premiums at JustCars are ridiculous! but i spose if you want your car low low with big wheels :blah: you gotta pay it...

i'm happy with my 17's, 30mm drop and engine mods......even happier with my $350/yr full comp insurance premium

stock car i paid 1600 for my first year with a 900 excess, which was cheapest coz i already got 20% no claim with HBF everywhere else was 2g+ for 1 year full comp on a stock 98 TF worth 12,000 (when i got it) which is huge

i now pay $1440 at justcar's and will go down next year, but i was forced into that position because of mods on the car, no one would touch me cept for JustCars, so if i want full comp insurance justcars can charge me anything they want, it was either them or nobody

Yeah, i don't think just cars are too bad.. i though i'd be too broke to mod my car, so i went with AAMI (gave the cheapest quote by over $900), and i got 10% from their skilled drivers course. Can't complain, except i'm earning more money now and want to mod my car!

Anyway, mays, racv are **** anyway, get a quote from just cars and see how you go ;)
