Has anyone used these 'coil spring clamps'?
They don't look very safe, but would be good for shows/photos if you wanted to drop your car for a while. I don't think I'd use them, but has anyone else?
these things are cheap and nasty, very illegal,
even if it was just to take pics, because yur compressing the springs if these compressors were to break they would come off at a very high speed..... wouldnt wanna be in the way of them

yeah, $55 could really put you into hospital. I use spring compressors very often at work to change leaking shocks and that, and the amount of force a spring is under when compressed is scary!

it would be safer to use a $3 grinding blade and cut a coil off each spring(which is illegal too)

just chuck a couple sand bags throughout your car :D
its a cheap way to:
get a fine
totalling your car
killing yourself
killing an innocent person
killing someone you know
lose dignity
lose your manhood
and basically make an ass of urself. Don't do it...if u want u could probably use them in car shows, but thats it.

']if u wan them for shows get some second hand stockies and cut them
surely putting compressors on would be a bit easier than changing the springs for a show...
not like my car is show worthy or anything and I'm not intending to ever use these things.
How dodgy so they look!

Avoid these, as everyone has said.
For shows, you have spare set of struts, you change them before the show, it is not all that much effort, not much more than forcing these death traps on anyway

if u wanna lower your car 4 showz and u dont wanna show off your interier, do what we do when photographing cars in the studio,
place as many bags of cement in all your foot wells as u can, also lots in the boot.
cement is cheap, but if u wanna drive your car lower just put lower springs in it.
