hey i just landed myself with a free subwoofer.......a very oooooooooold Alpine BASS sub a whopping 100RMS of POWER.....wow that gotta scare somthing like...ermm...ants...lol so yeah im gunna go and hook it up in my magna...muahahahahah sounds gay but at least its free...

If you put it in a good box it should work ok, well be better then not having one IMO

hunt round for the box specs and ask s-tim-ulate or Megatron for advice on powering it, should get it to work ok

That the Bass ZR with the white cone... Awesome subs for their age... i used to use em. They don't get low enough though

Alot of the old school Alpine gear are awesome, better then your average stuff you get these days :bowrofl:

I still have a old school Alpine deck in the old beast (cassette+radio), one of the first with Ai-Net though and its a ripper, plus 3 pairs of 4v pre-outs, i was laughing :D

All I had to do was buy a new Ai-Net changer for $150 and all was good.

the old alpine subs with the gold back were hand made in the states

The BASS alpines with the Pink lettering came in, 8inch, 10 inch and 12inch all suited to Free air or large sealed applications and back then 100W RMS was more then an Amp could put out...

I've still got my original 12"ZR 's there probably 5-7 years old now and still going strong, thought one died on me a while back but it turned out to be a bad connection on the cone. I do have two newer 12" vr's but the older zr's sh*t all over them IMHO

Some gear improves with age, take Sony for example, the decks prior to Xplod were great ..
New decks.. Not so good..

It will need a large sealed enclosure as big as you can make it or Buy it..
