Use a compass to get the angle of the gains the same. (running on minimum gains will usually result in the same output.

It isnt all that important to get it exact in this case. Yes its better to, but the most important thing is ensuring the signal is the same mono signal. (use rca splitters if possible)

If you feed them a stereo signal then the two voice coils 'could' possibly end up forcing the cone different ways which will cause problems.

But if one voice coil has more power it will not adversely affect the sub.

Its very hard to actually measure the output from each amp without using exxy equipment.

So, I'd try and eyeball it as best as you can.

Peace

Tim

Just on the subject of setting gains, you might also want to have a quick read of this article (http://www.fastfoursforumscarclub.com/temp/fhrxstudios/faq.asp#25). :D

Hey Marty have you ever heard of a problem with gains being slightly off with two amps on the one sub?

oh nice!!

yeah, grab a set of RCA splitters and just adjust teh gains on both amps so its the same. I mean...why bother straining one amp more than another?

should be fine.
