Hi all,

I have been looking at lowering my car by about 40mm, anyway i took it into pedders in launceston the other day and the guy there measured the height of my car from the bottom of the rim to the wheel arch, For some reason he seemed to think that the car was already sitting 25mm lower than it should be (The car DEFFINATLY hasnt been lowered before) and that he could only drop it another 10mm in the front!


Has anybody else had any simmilar problems? What should i do?

Could possibly have worn shocks that have weakened over time and the car has sagged

I replaced the rear ones less than a year ago,

When I had my verada lowered (1.5 inch all around). The rear sat up
higher. This was because the rear of the magna/verada are very light
compared to the front. So I got them to change the rear to 2 in lowered
spings so now its sitting flat.

Don't worry about 2 words.
The car is getting on now. It is the springs that determine the height of the car.
The springs will tend to sag. Pedders are most likly right. If you want I can measure my KR whigh has the pedders in it already. You measure from the bottom of the rim to the lip of the guard. If I knew how to draw on a computer I would scetch it for you lol

I got a set of pedders springs anyway used from teK on this board, finished putting them on on thursday and had a wheel alignment friday, Its sitting heaps lower than it was before, Definatley worth the money to do and it handles heaps better, only problem is the mudguards on the front rub on the ground if you go to fast arround the corners :lol: gotta fix that later

get rid of ur front mud guards, trust me it'll look a lot better!

Hey petemal2000, what colour is ur TS? Just wonderin coz I live in launnie too. Yeah i got my mags put on about a year ago and got her lowered about a month later. Ive got 16" rims on now and it was lowered 2". I havnt had any problems. Except sometimes wen the steering is a full lock occasionally u do hear it scrape the gaurd, but not very often. You might hav seen my car out at Kmart(where i work :( )

My Ts is Silver i dont think ive seen your car around but i will keep an eye out next time im out that way,

Mine went down about 40-45mm from standard (i think) and it only rubs when the steerings at full lock,

You might have seen my car arround, its got a bright blue parcel shelf and a 10.4in Lcd up front :D

Hey man u didnt happen to go through kingsmeadows KFC drive through on friday night did ya? :) I came out and saw a silver one goin trough drive through. i tried to see the parcel shelf but i missed it. :(
