spoke to a mob on wednesday about some diamante headlights, wanted to know if i could get them or not and they said yes.

so here's the go.

if i can get an idea of how many sets i should order, ill put it to the mob im getting them off and see if:

a) i can get that number of units.
b) i can get them at a cheaper price.

at the moment, we're looking at $300 neat, each, delivered.

i have parabolics but i'd think about getting the dark version of those type headlights; anyone else this is one of the most important visual mods on these cars....

There is a set going on ebay for $149, and they dont go far over $300 (for both lights, new reflectors), so charge munching

Well get your condiments because that's how much I paid for them when I got them for TZABOY's old TS.

Just remembered, OZEPARTS sell them for $330 each, and they have some sort of warrenty. Their lights are supposed to be new aswel...

well i couldnt find any one ozeparts for the jdm diamante and all the other suppliers i have spoken to wanted around $280 wholesale for the same thing, the people i've been speaking to in the last couple of days said $280 for pickup or $300 delivered anywhere in OZ.

all they wanted to know was how many sets they should order and then they were guna be put on a boat.

I think you need to be really clear here. Are you talking $300 per headlight, or $300 for a pair of headlights??!
If it's per headlight, no way. If it's for a pair, then it's reasonable, being about on par with other sources.

And still haven't cleared up whether they are the smaller ones, which "require" the chrome grill/surround system, or the standard size which go with your normal grill.

I've been quoted around $400 for the full diamante headlight and grill system before - pair of headlights and chrome grill/surround system.

not having a go, but if you guys really wanted them, you would have gone to a wrecker and picked up a pair for a couple of hundred bucks, and then sat down with you trusty scerwdriver and fitted the bastards!! i dont get it?? if i had spare cash i would ring around (or drive) and GET me some!! p.s. surely there is someone out there that is not aware of the "apparent" true value of these lights and is willing to let them go for a song?? any way, Have a great weekend peeps and speak nxt week!! :nuts:

Dougtlvrx picked his up from Mitsubishi for $450.00 the pair from memory, was old stock.

$300.00 each for Jap imports, pay an extra $100 each and get brand new ones from mitsubishi is what I would do if I were after them, although having said that I am happy with my Early diamante lights anyway.

Are you sure you're talking JDM Diamante?

JDM Diamante is the same as the KS Verada. The other diamante ones are the smaller ones with the chrome surround (like I have)

From memory and I may br wrong, the 92 - 94 Diamante had the chrome grille like KB and MY car has.

The late 94 - end of first gen Diamante had the parabolics like the KS Verada.

Or do what I did and get the best of both worlds: $366 for 2 2nd hand ones, but they had new reflecters put in them

Also there's a guy called rssid on the forums who is organising a "group by" you could call it for parabolics, $300 a pair.

I think this is extremely cheap as the last pair on ebay went for $450 :shock: !

That must be it Mal, that explains why I've seen Jap diamantes with both types of lights.
