Hi Guys!
Just wondered if anyone might be able to help me...
Ive got a TE V6 Manual, and when @ idle its rev's between 950-1100 in netruel with all options off (lights, a/c etc...) and engine warm. (It idles @ about 1600 when cold!)
Does anyone know if this is a normal thing, or if this overly high, and if it is high, what might the problem be.
Thanks

Yeah that sounds fairly high to me. Your car might go upto 1600 - 2000 when you first kick it over but should be no higher than round 1100 when cold and should drop to round 800 when warm.
I have the same problem in my KH. Cold idle is ok but when warm, sometimes it is round 900 and sometimes it is round 1100. I have increased the idle speed manually through the use of the idle screw to round 1000 to help get rid of the rough idle when in Drive at the lights. This has worked to a certain extent but sometimes it drops down to 800 - 900 in Neutral ideling sometimes for no reason. I know my idle speed motor doesnt work. This is the motor that increases your idle when your a/c kicks in. And i know the car tries to componsate me increasing the idle manually by trying to drop it automatically. There is only a certain point it can go to until it cant keep it down anymore when i open the screw right up.
In my opinion, i think it is just the computer doing what it wants to do and cant really be controlled. If your car doesnt have a rough idle when in D at lights, you can try manually decreasing your revs to round 900 when it usually sits at round 1100.

My cars a manual though, so i dont have any problems with roungh idleing, i just though it might be high, considering all the other cars i have ever had, or been in sit around 7-800 when warm with a/c on. Also i don't recall it ever being this high before i got the exhaust put on, or maybe i just didnt notice it as much because it was so quiet before... :doubt:

Mine's fairly accurate as far as i know, its auto, on cold revs on 1600-1800 then backs off to 1400 for about 10 secs, then eases down to 1100, and warm, in neutral, all accessories off, between 700 and 800.
