View Full Version : Where is the engine made?

Hey peeps!

I was just wondering, for the TE/KE Magnas, the car was/is built and assembled in OZ. However, is the engine (3.5l) manufactured in Australia as well? OR is it imported over from Japan? OR is everything from the car all Australian?

Pretty sure they were made here, coz only last few weeks i heard Mitsubishis oz engine plant closed its doors.

3.5, 3.0 & AstronIIs are all made at the Chrysler (Tonsley Park) plant.

That just recently closed and the new 3.8 will be imported from Japan.

LOL. And in case anyone asks where Tonsley Park is, its in Adelaide.

it is actually the lonsdale plant

Lonsdale Plant made the engines.
Tonsley Park Plant made/make the cars.
